Product Overview

Dried Ferrous Sulphate is a concentrated, partially dehydrated form of Iron(II) Sulphate commonly supplied as Ferrous Sulphate Monohydrate. It has the molecular formula FeSO₄·H₂O, CAS number 17375-41-6 and molecular weight of approximately 169.93 g/mol. The product is generally supplied as a light grey, off-white, pale green or beige crystalline powder or granulated material. Compared with Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate, the dried form contains less water of crystallisation and therefore provides a higher concentration of elemental iron by weight. Dried Ferrous Sulphate is used as a source of soluble ferrous iron in agricultural micronutrient formulations, fertilizer manufacturing, animal-nutrition premixes where an approved feed grade is supplied, water-treatment processes, cement manufacturing, pigment production, chemical processing and other industrial applications.
