Sodium Bisulphite Solution is an aqueous solution of Sodium Hydrogen Sulphite, generally represented by the molecular formula NaHSO₃. It is a water-soluble inorganic sulphite used primarily as a reducing agent, dechlorinating agent, oxygen scavenger and process chemical in industrial applications. The product is generally supplied as a clear, colourless to pale yellow liquid with a mild sulphurous odour. Commercial concentration may vary according to the supplied grade and is therefore confirmed through the latest batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
